Fliq for Windows PC - Quick Start Guide
Your first Fliq

- Ask a friend, family member, classmate or co-worker to install and open Fliq.

- Fliq users on the same network are displayed in the list view. Tap a name.

- Choose to send a photo, contact, My Card, note, task or document.

- Fliq will show you a preview.
Click the Fliq button to send!

Send contacts, photos, notes, tasks and more
Contacts and My Card
Fliq shows all of your contacts from Microsoft Outlook. Select a contact and choose to send just your 'Work' or 'Home' information, or send all contact details to the intended recipient. Save contacts you receive via Fliq to Outlook.
Photos and Images
Choose a photo from your My Pictures folder or any other image on your PC. With Fliq, you can drag and drop a JPEG and PNG file to the name of the person you want to send it to in your list view.
Notes and Memos
Choose to send a note from Mark/Space Notebook (included with Fliq) by selecting a note, drag and drop it to the name of the person you want to send it to, and off it goes to the recipient! Also, see the Drag-and-Drop section below.
Tasks and To-Dos
Fliq shows you tasks you have in Outlook. Choose any task to send to someone.
Documents and Files
Send and receive documents and files, including HTML, Microsoft Office and PDF files.
Receiving Fliqs
Other Fliq users can send notes, tasks, documents, contacts and photos, to you - even when you have Fliq minimized.
When someone sends you a Fliq, you will hear an alert sound and see a small red alert. You can choose to Discard or Preview it.
Information and Files received by Fliq are saved in the following places:
- Documents and files: Fliq will ask you where you want to save the file.
- Notes, memos and other text: Are saved in Mark/Space Notebook (a separate application installed with Fliq)
- Tasks and To Dos: Are saved into Microsoft Outlook
- Contacts and iPhoto Pictures: Contacts are saved into Outlook. Photos are saved on your computer, where you choose.
Using Fliq with iPhone or iPod touch
Fliq for Windows PC works with the free Fliq apps for the iPhone and iPod touch: Fliq for the iPhone, Fliq Notes, Fliq Tasks and Fliq Docs. Using these apps, you can exchange notes, documents, tasks, photos and contacts with your PC. All Fliq apps for iPhone and iPod touch are available free from the iTunes App Store.
To send information and files to your iPhone or iPod touch, open the corresponding Fliq app for the kind of information you are sending:
- Documents and files: Open Fliq Docs
- Notes, memos and text selections: Open Fliq Notes
- Tasks and To Dos: Open Fliq Tasks
- Contacts and iPhoto Pictures: Open Fliq for the iPhone
Fliq will highlight the button(s) for the types of information it can send to your iPhone or iPod touch for the Fliq app that is open.
Fliq for PC: A desktop companion to Fliq for iPhone
The Windows PC version of Fliq works perfectly with Fliq for the iPhone, Fliq Notes, Fliq Tasks and Fliq Docs. With the free Fliq apps for iPhone and iPod touch, you can exchange notes, documents, tasks, photos and more with Fliq for Mac users, other Fliq for Windows PC users, plus iPhone and iPod touch users.
Share your My Card anytime
Quickly send, or 'fliq', your contact information to others by choosing to Fliq your 'My Card'. Fliq lets you set any one of your contacts as your default personalized 'My Card' and you can choose to send just your Work, Home or all of your contact details.
Drag-and-Drop to share with others
Fliq is about sending and receiving contacts, photos, notes, tasks and other information quickly. Easily drag and drop notes, photos, contacts, tasks and documents to other Fliq users.
Drag any file to Fliq to send it over the network, including PDFs, Word, Excel, text and web pages.
Also drag a contact directly from Outlook, a note from Mark/Space Notebook, a Word or Excel file and drop it to the name of person in your Fliq list view that you want to send it to - in just seconds, your Fliq has been sent.
