Sync Android with Outlook and iCal with Update To The Missing Sync

Mark/Space updates The Missing Sync for Android adding calendar synchronization between Android phones and Microsoft Outlook or Apple iCal

Los Gatos, CA — May 27, 2010 — Mark/Space®, released a significant update to their popular all-in-one Android PIM and media synchronization software, The Missing Sync® for Android. Version 1.4 brings phone-to-desktop calendar synchronization to Android phones. Synchronize Microsoft Outlook or Apple iCal calendars wirelessly over a Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth.

The Missing Sync for Android software is available for Windows PC and Mac computers and supports phones running Android OS, such as the Google Nexus One, Verizon Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Incredible.

"The Missing Sync for Android is the most complete synchronization solution available," said Mark/Space CEO, Brian Hall. "Our free Fliq apps: Fliq Notes and our new Fliq Calendar rival many pay-for apps in the Android Market. And these are just the 1.0 versions. We plan to add many more features to both apps, to make them best-of-breed on any phone platform."

The calendar app included on Android-powered phones syncs with Google Calendar. To sync with a Windows PC and Mac, Mark/Space had to develop their own Android calendar app. Fliq Calendar is their full-featured calendaring app designed especially to synchronize with calendars from Outlook and iCal. Fliq Calendar works with The Missing Sync to keep calendar events updated and in sync between a phone and computer.

In addition to calendar syncing, The Missing Sync for Android synchronizes contacts, notes, documents and media files wirelessly between an Android phone and applications Windows PC and Mac users already use, such as Microsoft Outlook, Mac OS X Address Book, Windows Media Player and Apple iTunes. Other features in The Missing Sync include a built-in ringtone editor (to create ringtones from music), and archiving of text messages and a phone's call history.²

Mark/Space Proximity Sync, a feature unique to The Missing Sync software, keeps a computer and phone in sync wirelessly and automatically - without having to think about it.¹ Sync happens over a Wi-Fi network or via Bluetooth whenever the phone is near the computer. Proximity Sync works even when the phone is in a bag, backpack, or pants pocket.

"Android phones are powerful media and productivity devices," stated Jackie Macapanpan, Mark/Space Director of Marketing. "Our customers enjoy being able to easily connect their Android phones with their desktop and laptop computers to sync contacts, calendars, music, videos and much more - allowing them to really use all the wonderful features of their Android phone."
