Mark/Space Announces Missing Sync for Pocket PC Version 1.0.4
New Version Provides Support for Additional Languages,
More Handhelds, and Multiple Users
LOS GATOS, Calif. — May 12, 2004 — Mark/Space, Inc., makers of the award-winning Missing Sync™ software, today announced the immediate availability of Missing Sync for Pocket PC version 1.0.4. Missing Sync for Pocket PC offers superior integration and ease of use by employing Apple’s native iSync technology to synchronize information between a Pocket PC handheld and a Mac running Mac OS X.
A free update for registered owners, version 1.0.4 is now available in a multi-language installer with English, French, German, and Japanese language software, each complete with localized documentation.
With this latest release, Mark/Space has added support for several new handhelds including Carrier Devices’ i-mate Pocket PC, O2’s XDA II, and Toshiba’s e400 and e800 models. The Missing Sync for Pocket PC supports more than 100 devices running Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC edition and Pocket PC 2002, an impressive list that now includes all currently shipping Dell Axim, HP iPAQ, and Toshiba Pocket PC handhelds.
Also new in this release is the ability to download drivers for new handhelds from within the software. “With the explosion of new handhelds now coming to market, it’s important for us to offer prompt support for the latest hardware,” stated Ken Freeman, product manager at Mark/Space. “With this new release, our customers can easily update the Missing Sync’s drivers with a simple menu command in the application. This feature is a great example of Mark/Space responding directly to customer needs.”
With version 1.0.4, The Missing Sync for Pocket PC adds support for multiple users in Mac OS X. This capability allows each individual user to easily synchronize his or her data with a single Mac, improving usability for offices and households where multiple handheld users share a single Mac.
Missing Sync for Pocket PC requires Mac OS X version 10.2.8 or higher, iSync 1.2, and a compatible Pocket PC handheld running Pocket PC 2002 or higher connecting via a USB cradle/cable, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi.
