1. NEWS: Mark/Space Announces New Products at Macworld Expo (Booth 3261)

This January 7th thru 10th, be sure to join Steve Jobs (Keynote), Steve Wozniak (Tuesday Special Presentation), over 300 exhibitors, and tens of thousands of rabid Mac enthusiasts in the annual Mac festival known as Macworld Expo San Francisco.

Mark/Space will be in attendance at Booth 3261, with some exiting new products on display in public for the first time:

  • Missing Sync for Pocket PC
  • Missing Sync for Palm OS
And updates to many of our existing products:
  • Missing Sync 3.0.4 for Sony CLIE (updated for NX Series, Jaguar, more)

2. ANNOUNCING: Missing Sync for Pocket PC

The award-winning Missing Sync will soon be available for Pocket PC handhelds! Mac users can now mount their Pocket PC handhelds directly on the Mac OS X desktop to move files, backup data, and more. The Missing Sync also gives Mac users something Windows users don't have - iPhoto and iTunes plug-ins. Import and Export images with your Pocket PC handheld from within iPhoto. Treat your Pocket PC handheld as a source in iTunes. Load your memory card or internal memory with songs, then listen to them on the road!

The Missing Sync for Pocket PC Includes:

  • Desktop Mounting - Mount your internal memory or memory card on the Mac OS X desktop as an external 'drive'
  • iPhoto - Import and Export photos between iPhoto and your handheld
  • iTunes - Use your mp3 capable handheld as an iTunes source

4. UPDATED: Missing Sync for Sony CLIE v3.0.4 - Jaguar, iTunes 3, NX support

There is also news for Sony CLIE - Missing Sync 3.0.4 has just been released with full support for OS X, 10.2 (Jaguar) and the NX series.

  • Fixed: Issue with installing on systems with > 1 GB of RAM

5. UPDATED: Online VT-100 2.0 (Telnet, X/YMODEM, HiRes)

Online has undergone some major changes. We listened to the many requests over the years for Telnet and File Transfer support, and have responded with this powerful new version. In addition to those features, HiRes support has been enhanced (now get 80 columns on devices from Palm, Sony, HandEra, and others) and

  • New: Telnet (TCP)
  • New: Session Management (multiple saved configurations)
  • New: XModem, XModem-1K, and YModem sending of files from VFS
  • New: XModem, XModem-1K, and YModem receive of files to VFS
  • New: Added high density support (All Palm OS 5 devices, and some Palm OS 4.x devices)
  • New: High density icons and new color icons
  • New: Ports without real names are now displayed as their device IDs
  • Fixed: Clearing of screen in HiRes (Sony devices)
  • Changed: Dial menu is now Connect; for Modem and IRDA connections, it brings up dial dialog. Results of dialog are sent as a Macro. For Telnet, it connects to the system
  • Changed: Hangup is now disconnect
  • Fixed: VT100 emulation for setting scroll region
  • Fixed: Hex mode on Sony HiRes and HandEra landscape.

6. UPDATED: Mark/Space Sketch 1.0.1

A minor update to Mark/Space Sketch has been posted. This update is mainly in support of Palm OS 5.0, and is thus recommend for those using newer devices such as the Tungsten from Palm or Sony CLIE NX series.

  • Fixed: Drawing to window before window was drawn
  • Fixed: Dynamic Size attribute on title
  • Fixed: Loading of sketchs on OS 5
