6. NEWS: DataCord DC5-SLED, Use Palm V Peripherals with PC or Laptop

Mark/Space is pleased to announce the latest edition to the DataCord line of handheld serial data cables, the DC5-SLED Palm V peripheral to DB9 serial data cable.

This new cable allows the use of existing Palm V peripherals (such as snap-on modem or GPS unit) from another device with a DB9 serial connector, such as a PC or laptop or another Palm with matching DataCord.

The DC5-SLED has a Palm V peripheral connector on one end, and a PC style DB9 serial connector on the other. Use this cable to attach your Palm V "snap-on" type serial peripheral (such as modem or GPS unit) to a PC (or any device with a serial port) or combine with another DataCord to attach to a different type of Palm OS device.

DB9 end includes plug for attaching a DC power supply (not included) to provide power to the peripheral end of the cable (for peripherals that expect to be able to draw power from the Palm V).

DataCord DC5-SLED is available now at the introductory price of $34.95 from the Mark/Space online store (store.markspace.com). DataCords are available for shipment in the US, as well as internationally. For volume or OEM purchases, please contact sales@markspace.com

8. TIP: Protect your Graffiti area from scratches while adding productivity-enhancing tap-buttons

TapPad is a Graffiti overlay that adds over 25 functions to your Palm device that are available at all times. Just a single tap provides complete clipboard (cut/copy/paste) functions, as well as a complete number keypad, cursor movement keys, and much more.

Best of all, TapPad is designed to enhance rather than replace Graffiti, and your normal Graffiti strokes are passed through as if TapPad were not even there!

For more information on TapPad, visit TapPad.com
