NEW: PageNOW! E-Mail Gateway 1.0 (Server: Windows, Client: Any Platform!)
     http://www.markspace.com/pagenow/egate.html
     Description/Demo/Future Features Survey

The PageNOW! Email Gateway provides a link between email address and
pagers or digital phones. The gateway checks internet email addresses,
and relays all or selected parts of any messages found to the
designated pager or phone.

To reach a pager or phone, just send email to an address such as
"page_brian@yourcompany.com", "sales_force@pagers.mycompany.com"
or even "personal_account@national_isp.com".

The gateway enables "equal opportunity paging" since anyone who can
send email (using a Mac OS, Windows, Unix, PalmOS, or any other email
device) can send a message through your PageNOW! Email Gateway.

Visit the website (above) to download a working demo of the new
PageNOW! E-Mail Gateway, check out more of the features, and review
the pricing options!

NEW: PhoneWatcher 2.0 (Mac/CallerID Savvy Program)
     http://www.markspace.com/phonewatcher.html
     Description/Demo/Future Features Survey

PhoneWatcher is a compact (400K), zippy (.5 Meg RAM), and powerful
(scriptable, customizable) program that is happiest when it is
watching for, announcing, and logging phone calls to and from your
Macintosh. It's versatile enough to work with any Mac (System 7.1-
Mac OS 8x.), modem, and ordinary phone service, yet capable of delivering
top performance when your computer is connected to Caller ID devices,
services, and ISDN.

PhoneWatcher gives you control over your phone calls. It can announce
the name and number of a caller, can page you when you are away from
the phone, and can even log your incoming and outgoing calls. Scripts
for dialing, area codes, country codes, and more are included in the
Sample Scripts.

Identifying time zones and locations that are tied to a particular
Area Code or Country Code is a snap! Customizing the ringing sound for
each caller, and for each of PhoneWatcher's alerts, is as easy as
importing new sounds or even recording your own! Block calls, speed
dial your most-used phone numbers, all from PhoneWatcher's easy-to-use
interface.

NEWS: Mark/Space at PCS'98 in Orlando, Sep 22-25
      http://www.markspace.com/
      http://www.pcs98.com/
      mailto:brian_hall@markspace.com

PCS is the "Personal Communications Showcase" expo put on by the
PCIA, a wireless industry trade organization. This year several hundred
exhibitors and tens of thousands of attendees will converge on the
Orange County Convention Center for a look at the latest in mobile
communications hardware and software.

If you happen to be attending the PCS'98 Show in Orlando this month,
be sure to drop a line to Brian Hall
if you would like to schedule a meeting.

Brian will be in attendance showing off upcoming versions of PageNOW!
sending and receiving messages with PCS/GSM phones, sending voice
messages to phones and voice mail boxes, transmission via wired and
wireless TCP/IP and many other features that are so exciting we can't
yet make them public!

If you are a wireless communications company representative, this is
your chance to learn first hand from the CEO what is in store for
Mark/Space over the next year and learn how a partnership with Mark/Space
can increase revenue and foster customer satisfaction.

"I Like to Watch" shirt Macworld Expo's "Pithiest Shirt".

TIP: Using PageNOW! with VoiceStream
     http://www.voicestream.com/

From a PageNOW! customer comes the following advice:

"I finally was able to get PageNOW! to work with VoiceStream here
in Oregon. It turns out that VoiceStream looks for a 1 before the
pager ID as a form of authentication. So to page me my Pager ID
     has to be 1 503 516 xxxx."

TIP: Using PageNOW! with Pacific Bell PCS Phones
     http://www.pacbell.com/
     http://www.pacbell.com/products/wireless/pcs/index.html

Working with one of our larger corporate customers in the Bay Area, we
have learned that Pacific Bell is now offering TAP dial-up modem access
for sending text messages to their PCS phones. In PageNOW! you just
configure the service as usual (TAP Protocol, 7E1) and enter the phone
number provided by your service representative. At this time, you must
sign a Non Disclosure Agreement with Pacific Bell to obtain this number.
We hope at some point in the future this restriction will be lifted.

FUN TIP: Send music to your 2-Way Pager!
        http://www.pwebp.com/music2.html

Brian Pinter of Pinter Web Productions has a handy web page that both
describes how to compose and send music to your AccessLink 2-Way pager.

As of this writing, you can select from a popup menu of over 50 songs,
enter your pager ID, and have the music sent to your pager. Songs range
from "Happy Birthday" to theme songs from popular television shows and
movies.

Thank you,
- Your Team at Mark/Space!
