Among many other changes, Microsoft has now added support for calendar events and tasks to be able to sync with other Mac applications via the Mac OS X Sync Services framework.
Before this update, Outlook 2011 would sync contacts with Address Book, but not other data types. With the new update, Outlook for Mac is now able to sync events and tasks to iCal, as well.
The good news for The Missing Sync user, is that you will now be able to use our Missing Sync products to sync Outlook 2011 for Mac contacts, events and tasks with the mobile devices that we support.
If you have upgraded your copy of Outlook, and are ready to go, we have created a knowledge base article to help show you how to configure Outlook 2011 SP1 for use with Missing Sync.
New Android Device Picks for June
The hits just keep coming. Here's a preview of something new coming soon from Motorola and a look at a new sensation available this month from HTC that will inspire you.
Motorola® Photon 4G – Q3 2011 Release
The announcement of the new Motorola Photon 4G took the spotlight at the Sprint/Motorola event on June 9th. Not just a regular Android – it packs a dual-core Tegra 2 chip and WiMAX connectivity.
Apparently the device has taken a few cues from the Motorola Atrix 4G by offering a laptop dock to "enhance" your mobile computing experience. With a name like Photon 4G, you get WiMAX support on the handset, as well as a 4.3 inch qHD (Quarter High Definition) display with a resolution of 540 x 960, 8-megapixel camera, 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory (which can be expanded to a total of 48GB), soft-grip backing with a metal kickstand, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Photon 4G is expected to ship the beginning of Q3 2011
HTC Sensation 4G – Releases Next Week
With a 1.2Ghz dual core processor primed for the nation's largest 4G network, you can multitask apps, games and gadgets, and download massive movie files without catching a single glimpse of the dreaded buffering bar.
The Sensation 4G offers a streamlined unibody aluminum design (a scant 5.2 oz.), infinite ways to customize and make it yours, and an 8-megapixel camera on board. We think you'll appreciate the massive 4.3" qHD (Quarter High Definition) touchscreen.
With HTC Sense™ stepping-up the improvements of Android 2.3, you've got deep social network integration across a ton of different apps, custom HTC widgets, animated displays, and automated updates.
Both new offerings continue to push the limits in 4G technology, while both are easily enhanced with the addition of The Missing Sync for Android. The application can sync contacts, calendars, notes, playlists of music, photos and more between either device and your desktop PC or Mac.
