iTunes 10 no longer has the ability to create ringtones for iPhone. No worries, The Missing Sync for iPhone still does, and much more!
Use the built-in ringtone editor to select a song from your iTunes Music Library, drag two controls to trim it, and name the ringtone.* Ringtones are automatically added to iTunes, ready to transfer to your iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes. Its that easy!
TIP: If you have iLife installed, you can create ringtones from iLife Sound Effects.
* Music protected by DRM cannot be edited. iTunes Plus music, tunes ripped from your own CDs, and other non-protected music will work just fine.
