The Missing Sync on Intel Macs FAQ
Q: New Macs are using Intel processors?
A: Yes. Apple announced a major shift in their hardware strategy. To improve performance across the board, Apple would begin shipping Macs running Intel processors in the first half of 2006. Apple has more than met this target; Intel Macs began shipping during Macworld Expo, during the second week of January.

Q: Do the new Intel Macs require updated software?
A: It depends. There are two methods by which software applications can be run on the new Intel Macs. The first is within Apple's new emulation environment, Rosetta. Rosetta translates processor instructions on the fly to allow Intel-based Macs to run software designed for PowerPC-based Macs. The second method is with software that has been developed as a "Universal application", containing processor instructions for both Intel and PowerPC processors. Some applications may work normally under the Rosetta emulation environment, while others may need to be updated.

Q: Will The Missing Sync for Palm OS / Windows Mobile / BlackBerry / Sony PSP run on these new Intel Macs?
A: The latest versions of The Missing Sync for Palm OS, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry and Sony PSP are already Universal applications that run natively on both Intel and PowerPC Macs.
